Symptoms
Reddish brown scaly spots, mostly found on the arms and legs. Can show up on other sun-damaged skin. Caused by abnormal sun sensitivity. Often associated with precancerous skin cells.
Recovery
Dr. Harlan typically treats his adult patients for DSAP by having them apply SmartLotion® 2x per day for up to 4 weeks along with a cholesterol containing cream from a compounding pharmacy.
Whenever Dr. Harlan diagnoses a patient with DSAP, he always performs a skin cancer check. For anyone reading this who has or thinks they might have DSAP, it is critically important for you to get to your dermatologist for a skin cancer check.
