Just bought SmartLotion®? Start here: how to use it, how to moisturize with it, and how to test it on your skin first.
- Start Here: How to Use SmartLotion®Essential SmartLotion instructions: facial applications up to 2x daily for 2 weeks, body up to 4x daily for 4 weeks, then taper to maintenance dosing.
- How to Perform a Spot CheckIf an ingredient worries you, spot-check SmartLotion on unaffected forearm skin before normal use. Dr. Harlan's 2008 study found 1% of patients could not tolerate the sulfur.
- Moisturizing When Applying SmartLotion®When using SmartLotion, either product can go on first, but moisturizer first can reduce stinging. Atopic dermatitis needs moisturizer at least twice a day, and more often is encouraged.
